A US Airways commuter plane just crashed into the Hudson River (the river on which we live), about 40 blocks south of our home. It's frigid outside, and they're trying to rescue everyone out of the water. Deafening sirens everywhere outside, it's tragic.
Please send your prayers!

This just gave me chills...how awful...
I just heard about this 5 seconds before I read your post. Sending prayers!!
I got the text message from my local news station after it happened. How terrible! I am definitely sending prayers!
Oh my!!! Praying now!
how scary. we'll be praying.
I saw that. Looks like everyone may be ok, keepign my fingers crossed. A bird went into one of the engines. Its crazy how much damage birds can do to a plane. Sending prayers.
I just saw this on msnbc...looks like everyone got out, but this is exactly the reason why I have become anxious when flying!!
I'm watching...thank goodness it appears that the pilot did everything absolutely right and everybody is OK, physically at least!
God is good!! Just read that FAA announced all passengers are alive. pheew. Talk about a rough day for all involved.
I have been praying and am so grateful they got everyone out. That pilot is a hero!
I'm so glad everyone was okay! My friend was watching from his roof at work & said it was absolutely crazy to see!
Omg I know!! The pics on ABC news had my town in the background!! Freaken scary how close it was!
Thank goodness everyone is alright.
The pilot did an amazing job!! It looks like everyone is gonna be okay - physically anyway. I am sure it will take some time to recover emotionally from something like this.
ugh, was just talking with a bunch of people tonight here in Savannah. We've all been on that flight. So good to know all turned out well!
The story is all over the news here. What a miracle everyone survived. What a hero that pilot is!
