Wedding Wednesday!

The bridesmaids dresses have been CHOSEN! And ordered! And boy, oh boy, did my 'maids get a smokin' deal! Don't you just love J. Crew?!? Thanks to the mouth-watering sales J. Crew has been offering over the last few weeks, some of them got their bridesmaids dresses for as little as $60 before shipping! Considering the original dress I had my eye on for them was $275, I'm sure happy that it took me so long to make a final decision on the dresses!
I'd like to introduce you to the bridal party's wedding wardrobe (minus my dress, of course, as I know Mr. Wonderful creeps by here from time to time)... As an overarching theme, we've decided to go with citrus colors for our event, since it'll be an afternoon garden reception. Mouth-watering shades of yellows, oranges, greens... Very fun and vibrant, just how I like it!

My Maid of Honor, Roey, will stand out slightly from the rest of the girls in her Claudia dress in sour lemon:




My other bridesmaids- Lonnie (who reads my blog frequently, hi Lon!), Willy, Sister Wonderful, Megs, and my god sister Rach will each choose one of the following styles in marigold:

Lonnie received a dress today, and by her description I think the color most closely resembles the first of the 3 dresses? It was la bit nerve wracking to pick a color without actually seeing it, but I think that we've done well overall! The 'maids seem to be happy, and you really can't beat that price!

Lonnie and I are having a serious strategy session about accessories via BlackBerry Messenger (do you not LOVE that program!? Hello, free text messaging!), and are now plotting and scheming about shoe options. I'm going to have every gal pick her own pair of shoes, in order to make sure it's something she likes and will definitely wear again. We've decided against gold shoes, and I don't think everyone would like my suggestion to Lonnie of platform lucite heels a la Shauna Sand (or The Empress of Lucite, as she's known on D-Listed). Can't you just see these lovlies clickity-clacking down the aisle of my church?

I kid. We did, however come up with a pretty brilliant idea - pink shoes. I know you all are well aware of Mr. Wonderful's No Pink policy when it comes to the wedding colors, but Lonnie and I summarily decided that bridesmaid shoes don't count. I decided to rock some seriously pink stilettos under my wedding gown long ago, so I think that all of us having fun pink shoes would be a great little girlie thing! It's my "something pink", if you will! Please let me know if you see any cute pink shoes out there, we're totally open for cute suggestions!
